IPv6

IPv6 for Windows XP
Windows XP is the first operating system form Microsoft to include IPv6 support by default. It is considered by Microsoft to be an experimental release and as such it is installed but not enabled by default.
IPv6 6to4 addresses
For anyone with an existing IPv4 address the 6to4 class of IPv6 addresses provide a quick method to get up and running with IPv6. There's no registration process needed and no permission needed to use the addresses. Just configure and go!

The APANA Melbourne IPv6 wiki contains all of my earlier IPv6 documentation (and covers much more than the above articles.)

AMD X2 PowerNow! & Linux performance
After upgrading to a new AMD X2 4400 system everything felt rather sluggish. This was due to default PowerNow! settings of Fedora Core 4 which are not really suitable for desktop machines. Some changes to the default cpufreq configurations providers far a much better system.
